Secova (previously Nova Uranium Corp.) acquired extensive land holdings in 2004 covering the majority of the known uranium showings in the historical Mont-Laurier uranium district of Quebec. The property, located 200km northwest of Montreal, is a single contiguous block of map staked claims which are easily accessible by a combination of paved and gravel roads.
During the following two and half years after acquisition, Secova thoroughly and systematically tested both the Mont Laurier District historical and newly acquired uranium exploration data. Results of Secova 's extensive efforts have revealed that our predecessor's interpretation of the potential uranium content of the project area was greatly exaggerated. Certainly, uranium is present over wide spread areas, but it is a fraction of the anticipated numbers based on historical results. The property will be kept within Secova 's portfolio of uranium projects as a low priority asset.
